“Melody of Life” Documentary Fiction Film

” Now death may come, now I may set out upon the road, now I can say that I have truly lived.”

The documentary fiction film “Melody of Life” examines the aftermath of the bus crash that took place on 25 December 2018 at the Science and Research Branch of Islamic Azad University in Tehran, when a university shuttle overturned, leaving ten people dead and twenty eight injured.

Through the stories of several surviving students, the film follows lives that continue to be shaped by physical and psychological consequences years after the accident. Alongside these stories, it turns to the families of those who lost their lives, portraying the grief, absence, and lasting impact left behind.

The film Melody of Life includes a musical piece entitled “I Am Determined to Live,” adapted from a poem by Margot Bickel and translated and composed by Ardavan Anzabipour. The piece has been performed many times in various international programs, and each performance has been dedicated to the memory of those who lost their lives in the accident.
Melody of Life is not only a film about a tragic event, but about the lives that continued in its shadow.
